With three fully equipped workshop bays and highly specialist technicians they are able to carry out everything from servicing through to full vehicle modifications. As you read through the parts pages don't forget, C&R can fit everything they sell.

Why Travel So Far?

Customers travel from all over the country and in some cases even further to have work carried out at C&R. Asked why they have traveled so far and often for routine repairs, the answer is nearly always the same: That they have taken their car to various other local garages who have either, not given them the service they hoped for or have actually damaged their vehicle attempting to carry out work for which they did not have either the specialist knowledge or equipment.

Alternatively customers can walk or bus the short distance into Nottingham city centre. This has many tourist attractions including Nottingham castle, the Tales of Robin Hood, The Galleries of Justice and the caves.

Great Shops

Shopping is a good option as Nottingham claims to have more shops per square mile than anywhere else in Europe and several centrally located cinemas. 

C&R's workshop bays are usually kept busy fitting the performance equipment we sell, suspensions, brakes, exhausts etc., but we also provide more specialized services, carrying out restorations, engine and gearbox transplants and extensive performance upgrades. For example, over the past year we have renovated a Mk1 Golf, fitting a G60 engine to it and modifying the floor pan to accept a cable shift gear change mechanism. We have also carried out similar work on a Mk2 Golf, but in this case the engine was a ‘Full-House' supercharged G60 which required a complete re-wire of the car and a new fully programmed ECU! We regularly carry out engine rebuilds and overhauls and our specially trained workshop staff are all VW/Audi experts capable of solving whatever problems you care to bring to them.

Having built your engine we can also refinish you car so that it looks as good as it goes......

We can arrange reliable and reasonably priced bodywork and resprays etc. Examples of the high standards of work of the bodyshop we use, can be seen on our own Project Zerstorer which was completely repainted in 1997, or on the VWM magazine's Mk1 Golf Project car. Recent work includes painting and fitting the arches, bumpers, and body kit to our black Project VR6. 

We are able to offer all types of work from MOT welding, insurance estimates and accident repairs, through to full resprays and complete restoration projects, all at very competitive prices.

Small or awkward jobs can be undertaken such as painting plastic eyebrow spoilers or colour coding mirrors. These are often jobs which people attempt themselves, only to find that after a short while the paint cracks and comes off. This is because a special process has to be used when painting modern plastic components and this involves using a flexi-aid in the paint to prevent it cracking when the part bends.
